### What is Mergd?

Mergd is an AI talent agent that works over WhatsApp. Engineers tell it what they build and what they want next, and it matches them to real roles. Companies describe a role in plain words and get a ranked shortlist of engineers who have already agreed to be introduced. Over time it will also handle screening and interview scheduling, taking hiring from first chat to hired.

### How does it work for engineers?

You message the agent on WhatsApp, share your dealbreakers (pay, location, notice period, visa, remote) and your public profile handles. It builds a living profile from your actual work. When a role fits, it asks you privately first, and nothing about you is shared until you say Yes.

### How does it work for companies?

Describe the role in plain language. No job post is needed. The agent turns your brief into a scorecard, matches on what engineers have actually built, applies hard filters for pay, location, notice period and visa, and returns a consented, ranked shortlist with match reasons. Our goal is under 72 hours from brief to shortlist.

### Is it free for engineers?

Yes. Mergd never charges candidates any fee, now or later.

### Which platforms does it read?

GitHub, GitLab, LeetCode, Codeforces, Kaggle and Hugging Face. It only reads public data from handles you share, verifies each handle with a one-time code you place in your public bio, and never asks for passwords or session cookies.

### Will my current employer find out I'm looking?

Not from us. You can hide your profile from named companies, pause your search or delete your profile at any time, and your identity is only shared with a company after you say Yes to that specific role.

### How fast do companies get a shortlist?

Our goal is under 72 hours from brief to a ranked shortlist, and every person on it will have already opted in to the role. We're in our pilot now, so treat this as the bar we're building to rather than a measured result.

### Can I share my CV?

Yes. Send your CV as a PDF right in the WhatsApp chat, and I'll combine it with your public work from GitHub, LeetCode and the rest. What goes away is filling in the same application form for every role.

### When does Mergd launch?

Mergd is being built now and is in its concierge pilot stage. Early access will open to a small group of engineers and 10 to 15 design-partner startups first. Join the waitlist to be told when it's your turn.

### Can startups join as design partners?

Yes. Early-stage companies hiring engineers can use it free during the pilot in exchange for a thumbs up or down, with a reason, on each shortlisted candidate.
